What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that is placed in the jawbone to support a replacement tooth, bridge, or full-arch restoration.

Unlike removable options, implants are designed to become part of your foundation. Once healed, they can support teeth that look, feel, and function more like natural teeth.

At Country Club Dental, implant treatment is carefully planned using modern imaging, detailed evaluation, and a conservative approach focused on long-term success.

Implant Solutions for Different Needs

Every patient is different. We take time to evaluate your bone, bite, health history, goals, and comfort level before recommending the right option.

1

Single Tooth Implants

Replace one missing tooth with an implant-supported crown designed to restore function and blend naturally with your smile.

2

Multiple Tooth Replacement

For several missing teeth, implants may support individual crowns or implant-supported bridges depending on your needs.

+

Full-Arch Options

For patients missing most or all teeth, full-arch implant options may provide a fixed alternative to removable dentures.

Planned Carefully, Step by Step

Implant treatment is not rushed. We carefully evaluate each case and explain the process before treatment begins.

1

Consultation

We listen to your concerns, review your goals, and evaluate whether implants may be a good option.

2

3D Planning

CBCT imaging helps us evaluate bone structure, anatomy, and implant positioning with precision.

3

Implant Placement

The implant is placed with attention to comfort, safety, and long-term stability.

4

Restoration

After healing, the implant is restored with a crown, bridge, or full-arch solution when appropriate.

PRF FOR IMPLANT HEALING

Supporting the Body’s Natural Healing Process

PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin. It is made from a small sample of the patient’s own blood and may be used during implant, extraction, bone grafting, or surgical procedures to support the body’s natural healing response.

Dr. Tutunaru has seen very encouraging healing responses when PRF is used appropriately as part of implant treatment planning. Because it comes from the patient’s own blood, PRF is a natural biologic material that can be placed directly in the treatment area when clinically indicated.

At Country Club Dental, the blood draw is performed by a licensed nurse who comes to our office for this purpose. This allows the process to be handled professionally and comfortably while our dental team focuses on preparing and using the PRF as part of the planned treatment.

How PRF Works
1
A licensed nurse draws a small amount of the patient’s blood.
2
The blood is processed in a centrifuge to create platelet-rich fibrin.
3
The PRF forms a natural fibrin matrix that can be placed in the surgical area.
4
When appropriate, PRF may help support soft tissue healing, graft healing, and implant treatment planning.
PRF is not needed for every case. Recommendations depend on the patient’s health, anatomy, procedure, and treatment goals.

Is a Dental Implant Right for You?

COMMON QUESTIONS

Dental Implant FAQs

Dental implants can be a strong option for replacing missing teeth, but every patient is different. A consultation, examination, and 3D imaging may be needed before we can recommend the right treatment plan. Learn more about what to expect at a dental implant consultation.

Who may be a candidate for dental implants?

Patients missing one tooth, several teeth, or many teeth may be candidates. Bone support, gum health, bite forces, medical history, smoking status, and healing factors all need to be evaluated first. Learn more about whether you may be a candidate for dental implants.

Why is 3D imaging important?

3D imaging helps evaluate bone shape, bone volume, nearby anatomy, and implant positioning. This allows for more careful planning before implant treatment is recommended.

Will I need a bone graft?

Some patients have enough bone for implant treatment, while others may need grafting before or during implant placement. This depends on the area, bone quality, and treatment goal.

How long does implant treatment take?

Treatment time varies. Some cases are straightforward, while others require healing time, bone grafting, or additional planning. We explain the expected timeline after reviewing the case.

Are implants the same as natural teeth?

Dental implants can replace missing teeth, but they are not natural teeth. They still require daily cleaning, professional maintenance, and careful monitoring over time.

Can implants fail?

Yes, implant complications can happen. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, poor oral hygiene, bone quality, bite forces, and missed maintenance visits can increase risk. Careful planning and follow-up care are important.

A Thoughtful, Honest Approach

Dental implant treatment is highly individualized. A consultation and proper examination are needed before we can determine whether implants are appropriate for your situation. Treatment recommendations, timing, healing, and outcomes may vary from patient to patient.
