Originally from Romania—a country celebrated for its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and time-honored traditions—Dr. Tutunaru brings a deep appreciation for beauty, history, and craftsmanship to every aspect of his work. His connection to Romania is especially meaningful, as his mother was born and raised in the historic region of Transylvania, known for its rolling hills, medieval castles, and strong faith. From the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube Delta to Transylvania’s charming villages and diverse traditional cuisine, the spirit of his homeland continues to influence his life and passions.
Dr. Tutunaru earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Completing his education in such a challenging time strengthened his resilience and deepened his commitment to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care. Today, he practices comprehensive general dentistry with an emphasis on prevention, education, and long-term oral health.
Beyond his work in dentistry, Dr. Tutunaru is actively involved in the arts and community outreach. He serves as the Choir and Orchestra Conductor at Granite Bay Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he creates inspiring musical experiences rooted in classical choral and orchestral traditions.
His creative pursuits extend to photography, where he captures landscapes through a unique lens—literally. He restores and customizes vintage camera equipment to explore its original optical characteristics, blending his love for both engineering and art.
Dr. Tutunaru also dedicates time to serving communities in need. Together with his wife and son, he has participated in several dental mission trips, offering care and support in underserved regions including Honduras (2019), Guatemala (2023), Panama (2024), and the Dominican Republic (2025). These experiences reflect his genuine passion for helping others and making a meaningful difference through his skills and compassion.
At home, Dr. Tutunaru is deeply blessed to share a joyful life with his wife, Lavinia, and their 13-year-old son, Mattias, whose love and faith continue to inspire and strengthen their family’s journey."
